The breakfast served each morning was fantastic and filling.

We encountered multiple issues . The room had a persistent musty smell, and we even found black mold growing in the bathroom, unacceptable. When we requested a room change, we were refused, and the staff were not only unhelpful but also dismissive about the mold problem. Our experience left much to be desired.

It was just a proper fit for a brief stop-in in Matera with value for price. They helped us with valet parking, convenient.

Had such great stay in a very unique town. The best part were the very very nice and courteous staff. The breakfast I had was incredible with local specialties, traditional food and cheese. Loved every minute of being there, recommend.

Oh, where do I begin? No air conditioning in my suite was beyond disappointing in the sweltering summer heat. I almost gave a good review but just couldn't after discovering the shower was akin to a phone booth- unacceptable. I would have loved a complimentary upgrade to make up for the struggles, but that was clearly wishful thinking.

Staying with my wife and our two grown kids was good. The spacious family apartment had a cozy kitchen, and we loved exploring Matera's charming streets. The staff arranged a tuk-tuk tour which was a nice highlight of our trip!

A Unique Stay in a Historic Setting!

Our experience was lovely, especially dining at Dadelo, where the local cuisine impressed. The outdoor patio provided a perfect atmosphere to unwind, and connecting with the staff over the hotel's fascinating history. Don't miss the sculptures around the dining area!

Staying at Palazzotto Residence&Winery was a good adventure in cave living! The unique decor and spacious cave room were complemented by lovely views from our private balcony. Plus, the breakfast spread was a work of art, with an array of fresh fruits, local cheeses, and good pastries, made mornings a treat!

The staff were very warm, I reminded me of I was walking into my own home every time I came back. They even let us check in late after a delayed flight, a lifesaver.

It was pricey for what you get, but honestly worth it.

Staying in a cave with modern facilities was a unique experience! The location was perfect, right in the heart of Sassi di Matera, surrounded by cozy restaurants. Waking up and enjoying breakfast in such an enchanting place was lovely!

Staying here was amazing! The breakfast spread was excellent, and the unique cave rooms exceeded my expectations. Just be wary of the tricky door locks! I’d definitely come back!

Palazzotto residence&winery has the most amazing cave rooms, and the atmosphere here is just very nice. You can easily walk to nearby restaurants and attractions. The breakfast displays were like works of art, and the design of the suites blew me away.
